Working with Steff was a great experience and I love the playfulness and the mood he managed to capture in his photos. The atmosphere during the shoot was very relaxed and comfortable and I very much enjoyed his sense of humour and willingness to play and explore new ways of photographing movement and dance. Steff managed to capture my movement beautifully and he has given me some of my favourite dance photos.
The shoot was well planned and flawlessly executed. Steff's attention to detail in ensuring the lighting and set-up were optimal was impeccable and his creativity and suggestions for ideas using both the subject (me!) and the setting meant I got some great shots that I hadn't even considered. Steff was demonstrably committed to the shoot and his passion came through at all times, resulting in some wonderful shots that now hang proudly on the wall. I would highly recommend Steff without doubt or hesitation.
We love the photos Steff has taken of our son, Jack. Each one shows his character and personality, and is something different from the "standard" baby shots you see around. Steff put us at ease during the shoot and came with exciting ideas on how to get the better shots. I would highly recommend him!
We absolutely adore the photos Steff took of our son Samuel. He did his research beforehand and came to the shoot with a list of potential and ambitious shots he wanted to achieve, many of which I wouldn’t have thought about myself. Now we have a superb selection of photos that capture many people’s attention when they see them around our house or on my desk at work.
I invited Steffan to take some photos of my 5-week-old baby daughter (Isabella) 3 years ago at what I understand was his first baby photo shoot! Steffan had prepared himself thoroughly and had well thought out ideas for setting, lighting, poses and composition. The resulting photographs were a varied set of close-ups, baby portraits, mother & baby, father & baby and family portraits. Steffan showed a clear desire to take original photographs and produce interesting compositions with objects (such as soft toys) that you would not normally think of. Steffan was a natural around our baby and there was not a single tear shed for the entire session! I very much recommend Steffan if you are looking for someone for family / baby photography.
Steffan took these pictures of our newborn baby without us really even knowing he was there - that may not sound like a massive accolade, but for taking pictures of a newborn with brand new parents it was essential, as we didn't even know what we were doing with a newborn baby, let alone being able to pose for photos with her! Steffan was brilliant with us (who don't really like having our photos taken!) and doing it in the familiarity of our own home made it a lot more relaxed than a formal photo shoot. He was also thoughtful with our little girl - for example, he didn't use a flash as she was only days old and so tiny.
The photos by Steffan are the ones that we have on display, and he truly captured some great shots that have become really special to us and our wider family. We will definitely be going back to him for some more, as he really captures who we are as a family. He has the right approach for photography, and comes up with ideas for shots that we wouldn't have considered, but are in keeping with our style (i.e. not too formal and posed).
I will be recommending Steffan to all my friends and family - and not just for family photos, as I also really like Steffan's more arty work.
